In order to start planning for your Thriller opening sequence as a group you must plan a short pitch and present to your peers.
Your pitch should be based around the ideas for your opening sequence. Areas you may wish to consider are as followed:
Narrative Description know your whole story however, only produce the opening.
Sub Genre and Conventions what is your sub genre? how will you utilise the conventions in your production?
Character Types what are the characters going to be within your production? protagonist? antagonist?
Suggested Locations think about where you will be filming. It is a reliable safe location? does it work with your sub genre? think also about lighting and sound which may effect your films quality!
BBFC who is your target audience? who will you aim the film for and why that particular group?
Individual Roles within the production in your group what role will you take on? does everybody have an individual duty?
Once you have presented your idea you will receive peer and teacher feedback which you should add to your blog and take into consideration for further development of your opening sequence.
Remember maximum time for the opening sequence is 2 mins!
